What it is

Senior Project Manager at Bombardier Technology Solutions, with two areas of responsibility that sat alongside the TrackSafe and YardSafe programs: technology deployment for the VP’s office, and e-learning development and management for the technical field training program.

E-learning and training infrastructure

I managed the e-learning program end-to-end for four major transit agencies: NJ TRANSIT, MARTA, MTA, and GO Transit. Extensive work — course design, platform deployment, rollout to field staff, ongoing content management. The MTA deployment alone runs approximately 50,000 certification sessions per year.

This thread runs all the way back to my union-tech years as a technical trainer (2001–2013). When I moved into the professional side of the business, the trainer background came with me — first as subject-matter expert on the content, then as project manager for the platforms that delivered it. The job was to turn the knowledge one experienced diesel mechanic carried around in their head into something the next cohort could actually learn at scale.

That thread continues today. The Applied AI Solutions Engineering course notes I publish at class.wize73.com are the same discipline applied to a very different subject. Teaching AI engineering well has the same shape as teaching a coach mechanic well: start from the failure modes, show the tools, let the learner find the system’s actual behavior rather than memorize an idealized one.

VP Office technology

Executive-facing technology is a different discipline from safety-critical systems — the failure modes are about continuity, trust, and professional presentation rather than physical harm. The planning discipline transfers directly: prove the rollback before you ship, design for the failure case rather than the happy path, and assume every meeting you enable is one that cannot be rescheduled.
